super bowl XLII....

welcome everyone to my very first super bowl running diary!!! since im at home watching the game by myself...i figured this will give me something to do. i hope this is a good game....

right now im watching fox's depiction of the declaration of independence. i take great pride in our country, but this was lame! just tell us to go out and vote, although everyone running sucks. i guess its up to us to select the least suckiest person to be president? anyway...did anyone see LT? is he mc hammer? did you see his pants? those were tight...actually, they were really baggy.

okay, the game is about to start, so im going to make my prediction for the game. i see the giants hanging in there throughout the game. the giants will actually lead in the 4th 31-28 until brady will lead the frickin patriots on a game-winning touchdown drive and win it 35-31. yup...the giants will cover and the game will go over! lets see how wrong i am with my prediction.

3:08 -- god i hate american idol.

3:10 -- do you think most of the giants can even spell resiliency?

3:12 -- oh...brady and the patriots are walking down the tunnel and brady cut his hair!!!! he looks sooooo dreamy!!!! not quite kirk herbstreit eye candy, but hes getting there...

3:17 -- that matt hasselback commercial was pretty sweet. oh...national anthem time. wow...jordin sparks is kind of cute and i heard she can cover moss better than most of the giants secondary.

3:21 -- wow...that performance of the national anthem was really good. she didnt try to do too much. i so would now!

3:23 -- the pro bowl is next week already? i wonder what the line is for that game? hmm...whos coming to my pro bowl party?!?!?!

3:25 -- where the hell is joe montana? you're going to have the coin flip in honor of bill walsh and no joe montana? what the hell? im gonna go with heads! and it is.....tails!!!! the giants win the toss and will receive it....in the butt. what...what....

3:29 -- where the hell are the commercials for 24? im starting to get upset.

3:30 -- and the game begins...

3:32 -- bill belichick is wearing a cut-off hoodie. only a few people can pull off that look. actually...no one can pull off that look.

3:35 -- yes!!! first down on a 3rd and 7 to steve smith. manning is looking good so far. i just realized there are a lot of famous steve smiths in professional sports. hmm...i wonder how many famous elisha mannings are there. just like i thought...just one.

3:40 -- frickin boss just dropped a sure completion! he's definitely no tony danza!

3:44 -- damn...giants finally got stopped on a 3rd down. time for a tynes' fg and its....good! and the giants lead it 3-0.

3:49 -- ray lewis wears under armour? so is that what he wore to kill those people? i guess oj wore under armour too? i guess under armour doesnt work when you try to hold someone captive?

3:50 -- patriots getting ready for their first play of the game and they get to start at the 40. yeah, thats what they need...good field position. brady fails on his first completion. i guess hes not going perfect today....

3:57 -- i need to poop so bad, but i dont want to miss anything. ill just wait until halftime since its tom petty and the heartbreakers. damn you justin timberlake! i blame you for these crappy halftime shows. if they're going to have old farts perform, why cant they have neil diamond or barry manilow....cause im a fan-ilow!

3:58 -- sweet...pass interference on the giants in the end zone. now the ball is going to be placed at the one yard line. hmmm....whos going to get the td? vrabel or seau? im goin seau....

4:02 -- touchdown maroney!!! gay...patriots up 7-3.

4:04 -- now i have to go to godaddy.com to see danica patrick show off her beaver? what a frickin tease!!!!

4:09 -- oh....its a. toooooooomah!!! 40 yard pass completion to amani toomer! hes not the only good michigan football player on the field...

4:10 -- did you know mike carey is the first black ref to work a super bowl? cool..they just showed jim carey and jenny mccarthy. its nice to see his brother come out and support him.

4:13 -- crap...interception! stupid steve smith...he should have caught that pass! i guess that just proves michigan players are far superior to usc players. so far i have michigan players....no interceptions. usc....one.

4:17 -- sweet...the giants just stopped the patriots on 3rd down. damn. it should be 7-6 at least right now. yeah...my prediction for the over doesnt look too good right now. haha. again...another reason i shouldnt gamble (which i didnt of course).

4:25 -- so i dont get that life water commercial. are they saying naomi campbell looks like a lizard? if so, i agree.

4:27 -- just when i was thinking, why isnt the giants defensive line doing anything...they go and get two sacks in a row. awesome!

4:30 -- have i mentioned how much i hate american idol? if not, i do.

4:33 -- wow...this 2nd qtr is really long. not quite howie long. more like nia long.

4:36 -- that was a weird play manning just ran. pretend to fumble, let your running back bat it forward and then have your receiver pick up the ball for a first down. man...the giants are pulling everything out of their play book for this game....

4:40 -- i love chuck! so far that t-mobile commercial is my favorite one by far.

4:41 -- i wish i could really do that to justin timberlake. yeah...im a hater.

4:46 -- man...i havent seen brady get hit this hard in a long time. hes getting hit harder than new orleans did from katrina! okay, maybe not that hard....

4:50 -- fumble!!!!!! justin tuck justed forced a tom brady fumble. think about it...brady became famous because of the "tuck rule". ah irony....you dirty whore!

4:54 -- yes...halftime! time to poop! ill be back lighter and refreshed for the second half. so far, its been a really good game. the new england "dirty cheaters" patriots 7 (i hate all cheaters!) and the new york giants 3.

5:05 -- that was a great dump! my goodness...this halftime show is awful! watching tom petty and the heartbreakers is like watching that greatful dead video with the skeletons. its even creepier in hd!

5:08 -- damn it! my cable box is acting up! the hd channel is all scrambled. nooooooooo!!!

5:11 -- tom petty is playing the only song i know or kind of like. cause im free.....free ballin'!!!!!! they should have this song for guitar hero.

5:15 -- another song i know! this halftime show isnt too bad i guess. better than that britney performance a few years back. btw...what has britney been up to lately? i heard shes a "crazy" football fan...literally. god i hate her.

5:23 -- the second half is about to start. i hope the giants dont get blown out. this first drive is critical. yup...that was my john madden obvious quote of the game.

5:25 -- and the second half begins....

5:28 -- faulk you kevin faulk! 1st down patriots.

5:30 -- yes!!!! they stopped the patriots on 3rd down! if you couldnt tell by now, i want the giants to win.

5:33 -- those salesgenie.com commercials are pretty offensive. for their first commercial, they have an indian guy, just so they could make fun of his accent. then their second commercial they have pandas, so they can make fun of chinese people. i hope they have a third commercial with black people in it.

5:37 -- you can challenge how many men are on the field now? i hate the patriots. patriots are going to score now.

5:40 -- faulk you faulk! first down on a screen pass on 3rd and 13? good coverage giants!

5:42 -- strahan sack!!!! it has to be the power of the gapped teeth! hmmm...maybe i should try and play football? sweet! the giants stopped the patriots on 4th down!!!! wow...im emotionally getting into this game.

5:50 -- gay....randall gay just made a nice 3rd down play on plaxico.

5:55 -- pam oliver just reported that they're giving the giants players a lot of bananas. a lot of players on the giants are black. sounds pretty racist to me or maybe it really is for preventing cramps? nah...im going with racism!

5:58 -- frickin wes welker. he keeps making big plays! another 19 yard play. bastard.

6:00 -- giants stop the patriots on another third down!!!!

6:06 -- they just showed peyton manning again. its nice to see him there supporting his brother. thats probably why elisha is playing so well. i mean none of the brady bunch are at the game supporting tom. i thought greg would at least be there. he's the big brother. sure gisele is there, but you need your family....

6:07 -- i take it back....kevin is the boss. sorry tony. wow...its the 4th quarter already? this game has gone by pretty fast.

6:09 -- steve smith...17 yard gain!!!! i guess hes trying to make up for that interception play...

6:11 -- manning to david tyree.....touchdown!!!!! the giants are now leading 10-7. again...is this really the same elisha manning with a qb passer rating of 73.9 during the regular season? i think we're in bizarro world. something bad is going to happen. beware everyone....beware....

6:16 -- yes...another terminator commercial!!! i cant watch a terminator show with no ahnold. ive heard good things about the show, but i just cant get into it. no ahnold = not watching.

6:17 -- randy moss just caught a pass! you would think the patriots would try to pass to him more? really...the giants are playing that good of coverage against him?

6:20 -- these e-trade commercials with the baby talking is nothing like pearl from "the landlord".

6:24 -- wow...manning scrambles now too? who is this guy? nevermind...he just overthrew a wide open plaxico. thats the same manning we all know and love...

6:33 -- another first down with 4:o2 left in the game. yup...brady is driving them for that winning td i called in my prediction. yeah...yeah...the score is off. bite me.

6:37 -- is jabar gaffney black? he looks pretty white to me.

6:39 -- brady to moss....touchdown!!!! patriots now lead 14-10. damn it!!! its okay...theres still 2:42 left in the game. elisha manning is known for big 4th qtr comebacks. oh wait...thats his brother. no...i think it was his dad? actually...none of them are known for being that clutch. congratulations to the new england patriots for winning super bowl XLII....

6:44 -- i just saw the eli manning face (hot chick not included)! wow...it took three and a half quarters for him to make that face???

6:47 -- 4th and inches....they're going for it! this is is it folks.....

6:48 -- first down giants!!!!!

6:52 -- omg...that was an amazing play!!!!! eli almost gets sacked, but gets out of it. then he chucks it and david tyree makes an amazing catch for a 30 yard reception! that was awesome...

6:56 -- elisha to plaxico...TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow....i just jumped up and almost tripped over my chair. i cant believe how excited i got!!!! i guess plaxico knew something....

7:03 -- 4th and 20 with 0:10 left. can the giants hold them off for the win....

7:04 -- yes!!!!!!! the giants just beat the patriots to win super bowl XLII!!! congrats and much props to bill belichick for being such a classy prick. wow...this win feels pretty good and im not even a giants fan. the fact that bill simmons is going to be sad, makes me very happy! go giants!

7:11 -- im going with elisha being the mvp of the super bowl. i think he should go to disneyland...

whew...i cant believe i sat here and blogged for an entire 4 hours. sweet...i can make it in time to work out real quick at bally's before it closes too!

hope you enjoyed my very first running diary. shoot...i dont know if there's going to be a second one. this is just way too much work. congrats again to the giants. i hope this super bowl win by the giants will inspire the lions to play hard and make it to the super bowl next year. i mean elisha just led the giants to a super bowl victory. anything can happen, right? or like i mentioned earlier. something bad is going to happen. beware everyone...
